We are
Roll.
Empowering Africa's movement, one ride at a time. Better. Cleaner. Safer. Sustainable
Over 50% of the world's population lives in cities, and by 2050, this will rise to two-thirds. As urban areas grow, we'll face more traffic and less green space.
It's time to challenge the norm and take action!
At Roll Mobility, we see urban roads reclaimed by people, placing them at the heart of city transformation. We aim for safe, healthy environments with less pollution, noise, and more space.
We believe in a sustainable future where shared mobility and circularity are the norms. Individuals, businesses, and governments must reduce their climate impact and contribute to more livable cities for everyone.
To achieve our vision, we provide safe, affordable, and user-friendly light mobility vehicles. These options empower people to navigate campuses and cities on their terms, enhancing urban living and combating climate change.
By integrating scooters for short-distance commutes, we reduce travel hurdles and time for student and the likes. This is especially useful for commuting on campuses, residential estates, factories, and industrial areas.
complements campus shuttle networks, enhancing users' access to sustainable transportation.
These stations make it easy for riders to continue their journeys without worrying about being stranded, leading to increased efficiency and profitability.
Our scooters are the strongest in Africa, built to last and withstand the weather at all times.
We are dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact. Our Environmental Action Plan sets specific reduction targets for each stage of the vehicle lifecycle. Transitioning to circular economy practices and renewable energy are our guiding principles. Key focus areas include extending the vehicle lifecycle, improving repairs and spare part reuse, and implementing refurbishment and second-life programs for batteries and vehicles.
Shared vehicles can be used more efficiently throughout their lifetime, facilitating a resource-efficient shift to low-carbon mobility. We continue to innovate and enhance our service to expand access to shared mobility.
We have an in-house R&D team dedicated to vehicle development. By collaborating closely with our suppliers, we reinvent vehicle design to minimize resource use. We've extended our scooters' lifespan to five years and improved battery life through smarter charging.
Maintenance and repair are crucial for extending our vehicles' lifespan. We collaborate with engineering students from various universities as part of our campus job creation program. We train and pay them, improving our retention rate with spare parts sourced from Europe.
We maximize the reuse of components and spare parts. Nearly all spare parts are reused to repair other vehicles or parking racks. Plastic and rubber are repurposed for tactile strips on our parking racks and corrals.
Roll Mobility offers an efficient way to extend the reach and productivity of existing public transport systems, avoiding large infrastructure investments.
Our ready-to-use framework uses standard application programming interfaces (APIs) for shared mobility operators, such as GBFS and MDS. This makes our service easily integrated with public transportation, delivery services, route planning platforms, and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) applications.
